Spring Craft - "Green" Seed Starters

So I have a new creative little spring craft for everyone!
This is a great ways to recycle!

First is my eggshell planters (instead of those silly store bought ones):
As you are cracking your eggs to cook them, attempt to crack them as whole as possible and towards the top (skinnier) end.
Next rinse them out and fill them with dirt.
Poke a hole in the center with your finger.

Drop some seeds into the hole and cover them with dirt.
Place them back in your empty (half) egg carton and place in an area where it will get good sunlight.
(I took a push pin as well and poked a couple holes in the bottom for drainage.)

Water as dirt seems dry and wait for your seeds to grow!
*Once you are ready to replant all you need to do is crack your egg and stick the entire plant and seed starter (eggshell) into the dirt.

JAWS Home Cleaning Kit Review and Giveaway

Jaws (Just Add Water System)
Ok so by now you should all know I make my own household cleaners and really anything I can to save money and help my family be healthier.  The only time I don't make my own is when I am reviewing products for certain companies.  In saying I only choose to bring in "certain companies" chemicals into my house, they need to meet a few of my trial requirements since I have made that change for my family.  I only want to try a product if it is safe for the environment, inexpensive (especially compared to making my own), and most important safe for my children and pets.  As usual I just discovered yet another fantastically green company - JAWS Just Add Water System!

PrintRunner Postcard Review and Giveaway

Recently, I have been doing a lot of shopping online looking for different business card options.  Not only would I like to have these for my blog but for the shop I am hopefully trying to open soon.  I want to have the option to order and some products shipped (quickly of course) and to print online as well for quick access.  I was very happy to be introduced to PrintRunner.com when they recently contacted me.

EatSmart Precision Pro Multifunction Kitchen Scale Review and Giveaway

I've said to my husband several times in the past that I swore I would NEVER be one of those women that measured out every little thing I ate.  I never believed I would be dieting to this extreme.  That was of course before I realized women get old and their bodies completely change with age especially after having babies!  I have just become so lazy with honestly everything.  I feel so overwhelmed with responsibilities that exercise almost seems impossible!

Conscious Box Review and Giveaway

Ok so we all know an important part of being a couponer is sending out requests for samples frequently so we can get the coupons that usually come along with the products.  But what about for the purpose of trying new things as well.  It seems as though the "new thing" is joining a monthly mailing club where you get a whole buffet of items to try out, test, and enjoy before you have to spend the full amount only to find out you dislike a product or the way it works.  The more popular and first of these kinds of mailing clubs or groups I think of are your beer or wine clubs.  The newest company I stumbled across, I am very excited to tell all of you about - Conscious Box.  "Conscious Box is a monthly delivery of pure and sustainable products that are handpicked from businesses that care for the planet"

Fraas Animal Print Scarf Review

The other day my daughter, Alana and I were cleaning through some storage boxes as we came across several light weight scarves.  She quickly asked me, "what did you wear these with Mom?  They don't seem like something you would wear!"  She was correct as I never wore these as actual scarves but as almost belts when I was in high school.  I tried to explain to her that it was an "In style" thing when I was younger and that I wore them to accent my curvy features and hide the less desirable ones.  Though she still looked at me with confusion since she had the idea that scarves were meant to be worn to keep you warm not stylish.  The perfect email came shortly after asking me to review a scarf by FRAAS from their new Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

Grandoe Hush Puppies Spring Break Slipper Collection Review and Discount Coupon Code

Hush Puppies

I have to start out this review by telling you something personal about myself that I generally don't go around bragging about. I hate to wear shoes because my feet sweat an absurd amount no matter what type I try.  I wear flip flops all year round because I cannot stand that gross disgusting feeling of wet socks or the embarrassment of taking my shoes off around others and have them smell even in the slightest bit.  I only wear close toed shoes to work in and in the winter I will wear fuzzy socks instead of slippers.  This has always been fairly disappointing to me since I could never wear the cute boots or fun slippers like most others do.  Luckily, I was recently asked to review Hush Puppies Spring Break Slipper Collection.

JammyPack Review and Giveaway

There are a ton of reviews I have done that I have been extremely excited about but none as fun as this next one.  Have you ever read the "You know you were born in the 80s if..." emails, posts, etc.?  One of the things that is almost always guaranteed to be on there is, "You know you were born in the 80s if you know what a fanny pack is and have owned at least one."  This next company took something that was once to popular and updated it with the times.  Instead of carrying around a
boom box wherever you wanted to hear some music, kids now have their iPods (there's not even CD players used anymore).  If you haven't heard of it before you will want to check out JammyPack's!

"JammyPack embodies FREEDOM.  A social tool designed for the perfection of the party, recreation, and frothy lounging. JammyPack is a fist-pumping, high-kicking, retro, throwback speaker bag that easily connects to any iPod, mobile phone, mp3/CD player, hand held game or multi-media device."  When they say embodies freedom, boy do they mean that!  This little speaker sure packs a punch and the quality is clear as anything.  Best part is you can take your music anywhere without
restrictions.  You will be the life of the party because no matter how many people or how loud the crowd is you will still be able to hear your jams!

We decided to test our JammyPack the first nice day of spring this year.  We took the kids into the court in front of my house and walked up and down the sidewalk attracting several neighbors who could hear our music from inside their homes.  All were curious as to what it was and the kids were loving the fact that they could dance up and down the sidewalk.  The batteries last the whole day and then some.  We've been using it for a couple weeks now and quite often and haven't had to change the batteries once.  As you can see though (from my pictures), the person most excited about our new toy was my younger sister.  She has officially taken over my JammyPack taking it to her parties and trips to the beach or wherever she so chooses.  So you see these are even great for those of all ages.

Cost:  $79.95 Nirvanii Pink
         $49.95 Rechargeable Battery Pack
Available to purchase:  JammyPack
Recommendation:  Um, yea I think everyone should have one (haha)!  They are a bit expensive for my taste but the quality I've seen come out of these lil gadgets is well worth it.  They are definitely worth it if you are a free-flowing go with the flow person since you can take them anywhere and be the life of the party (and in my opinion the coolest kid on the block)!
